Make Your Voice Heard Skidmore Public 政策奖 competition. 竞争是
an opportunity to engage with a vital public policy issue that is important to you! The application asks you to be a part of 的 political process by writing a formal
信 to an official and a proposal for a grassroots 努力 to engage 的 public
火博体育你的问题. Many local, federal, and state policy issues are suitable for this
信. Possible issues include (but are not limited to):
Climate Change * Emergency Disaster Funding * Funding for Higher Education (Grants
and Loans) * Gun Control * Tax Policy * Health Care * Immigration * K-12 Education
* LGBTQ+ Advocacy * Criminal Justice Reform * Mass Incarceration * Economic Justice

Be a part of 的 political process and make your voice heard!
Program Highlights:
- The 信 can be on a local, state, or federal issue and should propose innovative solutions to difficult issues that are important to YOU!
- One winner and three runners-up will each be selected.
- Awards will be given out in May of 2024.
- First Prize: $1,000.00
- Runners-up (2): $500.00
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must be 当前的 火博体育的学生.
- Applications can be from individuals or from teams of two.
- The application (see guideline) must include:
- A properly addressed and formatted 信 that does not exceed 1,200 words;
- A one- to two-paragraph rationale;
- A one- to two-page project proposal for a grassroots 努力 to advance your issue with a budget of $500.
- Applications will be evaluated on: 的 quality of policy analysis and research, 的 clarity of presentation, 的 persuasiveness of 的 rationale, and 的 quality and feasibility of 的 proposal for a grassroots 努力. (Incomplete applications will not be considered.)
- Winners will receive 的ir awards and present 的ir 信s at Academic Festival
Students must submit 的ir 完整的应用程序 by email to Marla Melito 五点以前.m. on 4月12日星期五.
