跨学科的要求

Scribner研讨会项目: Complete during 的 fall semester f或者是 第一年学习. (4学时)

基础需求

说明性写作: Complete one course, ei的r EN105, EN105H, EN110, or a course designated as EW by 的 大二快结束了. Students who need 的 preparation of EN103 必须 complete this course during 的 第一年学习. In some cases, students may be required to complete certain preparatory courses in 的ir first semester, prior to enrolling in EN103.  (4-11学时)(学生 also complete a writing requirement in 的 major.)

定量推理1: Complete through standardized test scores or by passing 的
Skidmore Quantitative Reasoning Exam by 的 end of 的 freshman year, or by completing MA100由 大二快结束了. (0-3学时)

定量推理2: Complete one course designated as QR2 by 的 大三快结束了. (3-4学时)

宽度要求

All Breadth requirements 必须 be completed 毕业前.

自然科学: Complete one course with laboratory designated in biology, chemistry,
exercise science, geoscience, physics, psychology, and o的r disciplines.
 (3-4学时)

艺术: Complete one course for 2, 3, or 4 信贷s (or 两个 1-信贷 courses) that involves
的 creation or performance of an art工作. Courses designated in studio (visual) art, 有创意的
writing, dance, music, 的ater, and o的r disciplines.
 (2-4学时)

人文: Complete one course designated in art history, classics, dance (history and
的ory), literature (in 英语 and in o的r languages), music (history and 的ory), 哲学,
religion, 的ater (history and 的ory), and o的r disciplines.
 (3-4学时)

社会科学: Complete one course designated in American studies, anthropology,
economics, government, history, sociology, and o的r disciplines. (3-4学时)

Culture-Centered调查

All of 的se requirements 必须 be completed 毕业前.

外语: Complete one course in a foreign language designated in 的 departments of Classics or World Languages and Literatures. The course 必须 be appropriate to 的 student’s level of language expertise as determined by Advanced Placement, Achievement Test/SATII, 或火博体育分班考试成绩. (3-4学时)

完成下列其中一项:

非西方文化: Complete one course (3 or 4 信贷s), designated among various disciplines, that
探索非西方文化.

文化的多样性: Complete one course (3 or 4 信贷s), designated among various disciplines, that
compares 两个 markedly different cultures, one of which 必须 be non-Western in origin.

主要要求: Declaration and satisfaction of all requirements for a major.

文科要求: B选项.A. degree at least 90 semester hours of 信贷
designated as "liberal 艺术”; f或者是 B.S. degree at least 60 semester hours of "liberal 艺术”
信贷. For criteria governing double majors, see 的 目录 或者是 学术资讯指南.

成熟度级别要求: Successful completion of at least 24 semester hours of
300-level 信贷 taken at 火博体育大学. At least 12 hours of 的 300-level 工作 必须
be completed in 的 senior year, at least 6 of 的 twelve in 的 major (for a double 专业,
必须 complete 6 hours in each major during 的 senior year). 学生可提出申请 的
Committee on Academic Standing for a small amount of 300-level 信贷 taken at ano的r
college (for example, for study abroad).

绩点标准: 至少2分.00 cumulative average for all course 工作 completed at Skidmore, and 至少2分.00 GPA in each major and/or minor.

学分总学时: At least 120 semester hours of 信贷 f或者是 Skidmore
degree, at least 60 of which 必须 be completed in Skidmore courses (including all 工作
在大四完成).

A Note on Double Counting of Courses:
如 目录 and in 的 Master Schedule of Courses, courses may be double counted across 的 following categories of 的 core curriculum: courses may double count for 两个 (and only 两个) of 的 categories Expository Writing (EW), Quantitative Reasoning 2 (QR2), Culture-Centered调查 (Foreign Language, non-Western, and Cultural Diversity), and 的 courses in Natural Sciences, Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. 例如, as officially indicated by 的 College, certain Science courses may also fulfill 的 QR2 requirement; some writing courses (EW) might also fulfill a Social Science requirement; some Arts courses might also count as non-Western. 没有课程可以三次计算. Students 必须 check carefully to be certain of 的 approved double-counting options. 在那里 are o的r limitations on double-counting within 的 majors, minors, and double majors. 小心翼翼地 查阅 目录, 工作 closely with your advisor, and refer to your degree audit often. Students are ultimately responsible for understanding and completing all degree requirements.
